Let Your Voice Be Heard on Assisted Suicide
Last month, Justice Lynn Smith ruled on a case that came before her in the BC Supreme Court. She has determined that the law in Canada governing assisted suicide is “unconstitutional”. Her ruling gives the federal government one year to rewrite Canada’s laws to legalize assisted suicide. This happened even though our duly elected Members of Parliament voted 228 to 59 in April 2010 against changing our laws in this regard. Please call or write to your Member of Parliament to express your concerns about this issue.
