Adult Faith Education

Adult Faith Exploration

Sundays – at 11:00 AM – following the Divine Liturgy. This gives an opportunity for the parents of children in the Catechism program and other interested adults from the Parish to have a coffee and a good learning and sharing experience about the Faith. We plan to have such discussions many Sunday mornings with Parish Priest Fr. Michael and other clergy and speakers

Saturdays – at 6:30 PM – following Vespers. This presently does not follow a regular pattern. However, we try to have one every couple of weeks. Watch the Parish Bulletin or contact the parish for information about dates and topics.

Please feel free to join!

Contact the Parish Office for details tel. 204-667-8866   or  watch the parish BULLETIN

Photo from the Sept 19th Saturday evening gathering. The topic was “Women in the Church”. Deacon Patrick prepared presentation notes as a starting point for open questions, sharing of experiences and proposals for future activity.

Adult Discussion

The Adult Faith Education Class is intended to give a general summary of the faith for adults. While there is a lesson topic prepared for each session, there is much opportunity for exploring each issue through discussion and sharing.

Symbol of Faith

I believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, of all that is visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father. Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died and was buried. On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures: He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead. And His Kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father. With the Father and the Son He is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
