Bible Study

Join our Bible Study and Adult Faith Exploration!

Our Bible Study meetings will continue after the Christmas Holidays. The next session is scheduled – until further notice – for EVERY MONDAY. Join us every Monday evening beginning at 6:30 PM at the Parish Church Auditorium [lower level of the church]. All parishioners are invited!

We are reflecting on Gospel of St. Luke. The basic text used is the “Revised Standard Version” which is available from our Holy Eucharist Bookstore as the “Ignatius Bible” and the “Didache Bible”. The RSV is considered by many scholars to be Bibles as the best translation! However, bring the version that you have we’ll see how it goes.

For more details please call the Parish Office [204-667-8866] or directly Subdeacon Anton Sloboda [204-361-5071]! who is coordinating this program

[*Faith Exploration to be announced…]

CATHOLIC BIBLE COMMENTARIES are available for totally reasonable prices from our Holy Eucharist Bookshop (call Liz at t. 204-334-2081). Here’s a plan….. pick up the New Testament commentary and/or the ‘Full Bible’ commentary and just follow the daily Scripture readings from the church calendar or the parish bulletin and read them every day and READ THE COMMENTARY. You will be fascinated and inspired! You, and whoever you invite to join you in this daily practice, will soon find yourselves forgetting about your favourite TV series and waiting with anticipation to read more from Sacred Scripture. This is the one adventure and mystery that is not only historical, but will be unfolding as you progress in your research.
